One Mind Zen celebrates Vesak, in our lineage, the Buddha's birthday. Other traditions celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death (paranirvana) all on the same day. But in the spirit on no birth/no-death, we celebrate his birth on May 4. (See the Diamond Sutra if that makes no sense!)

Cake is optional.

This week, we'll have our usual sitting and walking meditation, some chanting, and a talk & discussion on "It is What It Is."

Come join us. If you're new to us, come at 6:30. Otherwise, meditation starts promptly at 7:00PM, so please arrive by 6:45.

This Thursday, in addition to Zen meditation & chanting, we'll have a talk and discussion on the preta, the Hungry Ghost.餓鬼
